Life at Faith!

There are many ways to get involved at Faith.  From special events and gatherings, to helping with our annual Christmas Food Baskets assembly and delivery, there is something for everyone.

The best way to be “in the know” on upcoming events at Faith is to subscribe to our monthly newsletter, The Beacon.  Available either as a PDF download via our website, or via snail mail, The Beacon is the way we highlight upcoming events.  If you are currently not receiving The Beacon and wish to, please let us know.  The above box has current and past issues of The Beacon.

In addition to Sunday Worship, a sampling of our regularly scheduled programs and events include:

Monthly Healing Service: Held on the first Wednesday of every month (except during lent), the Healing Service provides an opportunity for those in need of spiritual, emotional, or physical healing the opportunity to gather for worship in a small, intimate setting.  Holy Communion is offered.  Following the service, there is an informal time of fellowship with coffee and cookies for those that wish to stay.  Open to all.

Weekly Prayer Breakfast: Meets on Wednesday mornings at 8:00 am at Perkins on Buffalo Road.  Open to all.

Prayer Chain: The prayer chain allows those connected with Faith to pass on their prayer requests to those who will pray for a specific need.  Please call the church to add someone to the prayer chain.

Bible Studies:  We offer several Bible Studies that meet at various times throughout the year.  Please check The Beacon calendar for dates and times.  Bible studies are open to all.

Craft-n-Chat:  Meets every Tuesday at 9:00 am.  Open to women of all ages, this weekly gathering provides an opportunity for fellowship and a craft every week.  Or, you may bring your own project.

Youth-Oriented Activities:  Examples include movie nights, bowling, summer catechetical camp, and service projects.

We also participate in a number of service projects throughout the year, including Habitat for Humanity, food and clothing drives, Christmas Gifts for the children at Bethesda Children’s Home, food baskets for the needy at Christmas, and many more.  Other events include Vacation Bible School, a yearly Soup and Chili Cook-Off, weekly Wednesday luncheons and soup suppers during the Lenten season, and other special services around Thanksgiving and during Advent.

As you can see, we maintain a very busy calendar and we’d love to have you join us!
