Pass It Forward

We are part of something larger than ourselves.We have inherited a beautiful legacy of faith, worship, service, generosity, and community. These treasures have been passed down through the generations, from grandparents and parents, mentors, pastors, and friends.

St. Paul understood that faith is a gift that is passed forward. He wrote these words of encouragement to his friend Timothy: “I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that lived first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, lives in you. For this reason I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is within you” (2 Timothy 1:5-6a).

Over the years, many faithful people have worshiped, served, prayed, and generously given so that this congregation could be here today. We are stewards of what has been passed on to us—not only our building and grounds, but our ongoing mission as loving servants of God. Through our faithful stewardship now, we become part of that legacy and help pass it forward.

Our generosity today not only supports our current ministry, but helps ensure that future generations will have a church where they can be fed by Word and Sacrament, find a welcoming community, serve their neighbors, and grow in faith.
